I'm Owen Sterling, a Chicago-commissioned notary public and the founder of Sterling Document Services. My background is in commercial banking and finance - I spent twelve years at a major Loop firm before building this practice in 2019, and I bring that financial-sector precision and discretion to every notarization I perform.

Sterling Document Services focuses on business and corporate clients - law firms, financial institutions, private equity groups, and companies of all sizes who need a reliable, professional notary available on short notice in Chicago. Illinois state law sets the maximum notary fee at $1 per notarial act. Sterling Document Services fees reflect professional preparation, availability, and service quality:

General Notarization: $20 per act
Corporate/Business Documents: $20 per act (volume rates for 10+ acts)
RON Session: $30 per act
Mobile Travel - Chicago: $60 within the city; $0.70/mile beyond
Loan Signings: Starting at $175 residential; commercial quoted on request
Apostille Coordination: $100 + Secretary of State fees
After-Hours: $40 surcharge for appointments before 8 AM or after 7 PM

Law firms and corporate clients billed via invoice (net 30, ACH preferred). Individuals pay at time of service via Zelle, credit card, or check.
